Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Video Downloader Plus Chrome extension, the vidow.io web application, and all related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Video Downloader Plus ("us", "we", or "our"). They apply whether you are on a free plan, a paid subscription, or a lifetime license.

By installing the extension, creating an account, or using vidow.io you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

License

We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to install and use the Video Downloader Plus Chrome extension and web application solely for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.

Restrictions

You agree not to — and will not help others to:

✕Redistribute, sell, rent, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit Video Downloader Plus or any part of it.
✕Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension or server-side code.
✕Use Video Downloader Plus to build a competing product or service.
✕Circumvent download limits, subscription checks, or any other technical safeguard.
✕Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to interact with the Service at scale.

Content & Copyright

Video Downloader Plus detects HLS and DASH video streams in your browser and helps you download or cast them. We do not host, store, or index any media content on our servers. Downloaded files are saved to your device or, if you use Cloud Sync, transferred directly to your own cloud storage account.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right to download any content you save through Video Downloader Plus. We respect copyright holders and will respond to valid DMCA takedown notices.

Subscriptions & Billing

Plans & Pricing

Video Downloader Plus offers free, monthly, annual, and lifetime plans. Paid plans are billed in advance via Stripe. Prices are listed on our pricing page and are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy.

Cancellation

You can cancel any recurring subscription from your account settings. Your premium features remain active until the end of the current billing cycle.

Price Changes

We will give at least 30 days email notice before changing prices. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the new price takes effect.

Lifetime License

A one-time purchase that grants permanent access to premium features at the time of purchase. Future major additions may require a separate purchase or upgrade.

Lifetime licenses are personal and non-transferable. They are tied to the original purchaser's account and may not be sold, gifted, transferred, or shared. Reselling a lifetime account or distributing access to others is grounds for revocation without refund.

Your Account

•You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. If you sign in with Google OAuth, Google handles the authentication — we never see your password.
•Each account is for one individual human. You may use it across your own devices, but you may not share your login, API token, or extension session with anyone else — including family, colleagues, or buyers of resold accounts.
•Concurrent use from more than 3 devices, or usage patterns inconsistent with single-user personal use (rapid geographic shifts, many simultaneous sessions, repeated IP churn across countries), may be flagged as abuse and result in throttling, suspension, or termination.
•Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
•You must provide accurate information when creating an account. If your email changes, update it in your settings so we can reach you.

Termination

By Video Downloader Plus

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or engage in fraud. In less urgent cases we will try to give reasonable notice first.

By You

You can leave at any time by cancelling your subscription (if active) and deleting your account from Settings. Once deleted, your data is removed per our Privacy Policy.

Remedies for abuse

Where account sharing, resale, or other abuse is detected, we may at our discretion: throttle download or streaming limits, downgrade the account to free, revoke lifetime access, or terminate the account entirely. Lifetime access revoked due to abuse, fraud, or chargeback is non-refundable.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Video Downloader Plus and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising from:

  • • Your use of, or inability to use, the Service
  • • Content you download through Video Downloader Plus
  • • Third-party websites or services accessed via the extension
  • • Unauthorized access to your account or data
  • • Interruptions to the Service, including server downtime

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Disclaimer

Video Downloader Plus is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." We make no warranties — express or implied — regarding merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uptime, or non-infringement. Video stream availability depends on third-party websites and may change without notice. We do our best to keep things working, but we cannot guarantee that every stream will be detectable or downloadable at all times.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be settled in the courts of the United States. Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.

Changes & Contact

Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Video Downloader Plus evolves. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or an in-app banner before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
